Hello, I’m the Office Supervisor here at First Avenue Middle School. It’s been my pleasure to meet and assist many of you over the years. In addition to making sure that our office runs smoothly, I’m happy to answer your general questions, or assist in scheduling appointments for Mr. Eslami and Mr. DeGrazia as needed. Hello, my name is Selene and I am the Office Assistant at FA! I’m here to assist you with attendance related matters and payments. If you have questions about our attendance procedures, please review the handbook available on this website. I look forward to working together to have a great school year!

Early Release

Please have your student submit any early dismissal notes to the school office before school starts. They will receive an early dismissal slip that allows them to wait by the office at the time stated in the note and prevents classroom interruptions.

Attendance section

For each full day a student is absent, both the parent/guardian and student will receive an email with instructions on how to participate in the Absence Recovery Program (ARP) or how to submit a reason for the absence if they choose not to participate. For questions about the ARP, please email [email protected].

Independent Study Requests
For pre-arranged absences of 5+ school days, a minimum two weeks notice to the office is required.
