PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mr. Adam Eslami

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of First Ave. Middle School. My name is Adam Eslami, and I am excited to join such a dynamic and dedicated school community. My career began as a middle school teacher and spans across roles as an administrator in elementary, middle, and high school settings. For the past four years, I have had the privilege of serving as the principal of a school in Bonita Unified School District, where I have gained invaluable insights and honed my leadership skills. I am excited to bring this diverse experience to First Avenue.

I look forward to bringing my expertise to First Avenue and continuing the remarkable work that has already been accomplished by our exceptional staff and my predecessors. My vision for our school is to continue to create an academically enriched environment where our students can thrive not only in traditional subjects but also in diverse electives that our school offers. It is essential that we provide a well-rounded education that empowers students to explore their passions and develop their unique talents.

Equally important is our commitment to fostering social and emotional learning. Adolescence is a pivotal time, and we must ensure our students are equipped with the skills needed to navigate this stage of life successfully. By emphasizing emotional intelligence, resilience, empathy, and other soft skills, we will better prepare our students for the complexities of the modern world.

As we embark on this new school year, I am committed to working closely with our community to establish strong partnerships between parents and the school. I encourage you to join our PTSA, engage with our school events, and reach out to our administrators whenever you need assistance. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching environment for our students.

I am confident that this will be a great school year filled with growth, learning, and exciting opportunities. Thank you for welcoming me into the First Avenue Middle School family. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to achieve our shared goals.

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mr. Michael DeGrazia

I am excited to begin my ninth year at First Avenue for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking forward to seeing all of the new students and returning students at First Avenue. We strive to create opportunities for all students to have a sense of pride and connection to First Avenue through our number of activities. There are a wide variety of clubs, after-school activities, and athletics that we encourage all students to engage in. We have an exemplary performing and visual arts program, sports program, and we have a number of electives that appeal to students with different interests. I am hoping that students enjoy their experience at First Avenue and we can all enjoy the positive impact of the school community on our day to day life. Relationships are an important part of First Avenue and we look forward to sharing our time together.

We strive to promote educational excellence by preparing and challenging students to make a positive and profound impact in society. We support the Arcadia vision and support Arcadia’s tag line to Imagine, Inquire, and Inspire.
